Nanjing Confucius Temple (in simplified Chinese 南京夫子庙) was established to worship and ritual the famous ancient Chinese philosopher and educator Confucius. Its name is “Holy Dacheng Temple teacher propaganda”, referred to as “the Confucian Temple.” As the name “Confucius” had been known since ancient times, the temple is commonly known as “Confucius Temple.”

During Song Jing Period, in Nanjing, Confucius Temple was built in the first year of Mary Help of Christians (AD 1034), by extension from the Eastern Jin Dynasty palace learn.
